This was a great show! The music was the best all day and evening.
The promoters was organized and gracious. The event will be in a condiminum park setting next to where it was this year, and that will be even better. There were 20 to 30 thousand people came through and all were polite and interesting. There were not many fine art or crafts people there. I would recomend this show to anyone who likes jazz and blues and works off the numbers of people passing by. It was very good for me.

"worthington plant fest","5/13/2006 always the saturday befor mother's day","worthington, ohio","","outdoor","Glass","$500. - $1,000.","Excellent","Excellent","this is a small show on the green in downtown worthington. most of the vendors are ones who do the weekly farmers' market all year. there are lots of plants and flowers with the rest of us selling items that went in the garden. it rained most of the day and the crowd was slow and not as big as last year. alot of people went to the vendor they wanted to buy from and left without walking around. we didn't do as well as last year but it was still a good one day show. lots of men and kids buying for mom. if the weather cooperates it could be a very good show."

"Garfield Mall Craft Show","June 10, 2006","Garfield Heights, OH","Indoor ","","Jewelry","Under $500.","Fair","Poor","This show was an extreme dissapointment. The venue was between a Marc's and a BigLots, therefore if customers wanted to compare the price of a handcrafted item to one they found in Marcs is was hard to compete. Very few customers came to the show, attendance was poor.
We only saw the coordinator of the show during the setup. She did not stay for the duration of the show and was not very helpful. Our bathrooms were located in Marcs. They were extremely smelly and filthy. The event was not well advertised and was a big dissapointment. I will never participate in it again.

"worthington art fest","june 16-17","worthington, ohio","","outdoor","Glass","$2,000. - $4,000.","Good","Excellent","The crowds are always good at this show. Sunday is Father's Day and always a little slower than Sat. but they come to buy."

"Westerville Art Fest","July 8-9","Westerville, Ohio","","outdoor","Glass","$4,000. - $6,000.","Excellent","Excellent","The best show yet this year. The hours are long but the crowds are there till the very end and are looking to buy. Sunday was better that Sat which is unusual for most 2 day shows. Everyone we talked to had a better show than they did last year."

"Chardon Arts Festival","August 6, 2006","Chardon OH","","outdoor","Jewelry","Under $500.","Good","Excellent","I am a jewelry designer. I did this show last year and did over $1500 for the day. This year I didn't sell any more that $200. Needlesstosay I was very disappointed. There was a decent sized crowd all day. The weather was sunny and it got hot during the afternoon. It is a lovely park setting. Set up is accessible to your vehicle. There is no driving to your booth to unload, but the street is close to most of the spaces.
The staff is cordial and helpful. I don't think anything was different this year than last except the economy, perhaps. There wasn't an overabundance of jewelry as is the situation in some shows.
I had lots of people coming into my booth telling me how wonderful my work was. Ususally with a little encouragement, I can get a person to try a piece on. No one wanted to try anything, which is a big sign to me saying ""I am not going to buy"
