comments:My sales were just a tad above
$500. The promoters are great to the artisians and craftsmen.
They provide inside restrooms, fruit, and drinks during the show. The
quality of the arts and crafts is very good, but and this is a big but.
There are not a lot of buyers or for that matter even lookers. There
also aren't a lot of artisans or craftsmen. This was only the second
year for this show. I have been there both years and will go back next
year for various reasons but one of them isn't that I made money at the
show. I am hoping that any year not this blossoms into the show it
should be for all the work that Main Street puts into it.
showname: Zoar Harvest Festival
showdate: August 6-7th
showcitystate: Zoar OH
YourMedium: Metals
sales: Under $500.
exhibitorquality: Excellent
promoterquality: Fair
Comments: For
all that the Zoar festival could have been it wasn't.
They charged $7 per person for people to come and the attendance
was poor at best. I talked to several artist and no one was making very
many sales, people were just not buying anything.
The Zoar committee did not make an effort to visit with me and
really didnt care how I was doing or that I was even there.
I was down from the main area and was told that the band in the beer
tent was so loud that the artist had to shout to their customers.

Indoor show

Comments: This is a fair show for crafters. It is juried. It always has a high traffic flow. I always do well for my craft, and some booths do extremely
well. I highly recommend this show to crafters."
"Gifts From The Heart","November 19, 2005","Lyndhurst, OH","Indoor "Jewelry","$500. - $1,000.","Excellent","Excellent","I highly recommend this show. It should only get better in its new location. The cause is
worthy, the management caring, the location convenient and attractive, the attendees interested, the publicity better than adequate and improving. I will do it again."
"Triway Music Boosters Fall Craft Show","Oct. 22,2005","Wooster, Ohio","Other","Under $500.",This show was listed in the Festivals and Competition booklet as a juried show. How can a juried show have so many
commercial booths? It was unbelievable. There were many unhappy crafters there that left an hour before the show was to be over. The promoter said that there were demos listed in the booklet, but I always thought
that demos at an arts and crafts show were to show how certain techniques were accomplished. According to the promoter demos meant showing commercial items and to sign you up for a home show."
