Comments: A nice show, well done. Was a bit slow but pleasant. It
rained
out on
the second day around 3:00, otherwise I feel I would have sold more.
This is a showthat I would do again, but possibly not every year, maybe skip
a
year and then return.

Comments: Very nice show. It was raining when I left the
house,raining when
I was
setting up, and continued to rain the entire day. It stopped raining
at
almost 5:00pm exactly, when the show was over!! However, there was still a decent crowd.
I had low inventory, and think I would have done better if I had
brought more work, so I plan to
return next year.

Show Name: Wildlife Art & Carvers Show
Show Location: West Woods Nature Center, Novelty, Ohio on Rte. 87,
about 5 miles
east of Rte. 306
Sales: $500 - $1000
Sales Comparison: Not applicable
Exhibitor Quality: Good
Promoter Quality: Excellent
Facilities: Good
Show Start:
Show End:
Medium: 2D Art, any medium
Comments: This is a new place, but not a new show. Show was
originally
held in the
Nature Center in Big Creek, Chardon. Shuttle buses would run on
Sunday between this
show and the Chardon on the Square show. Not having traffic from the
Chardon show
didn't seem to hurt attendance at all.
Your art/craft must have a nature theme. Wildlife paintings,
jewelry,
and carvings. Many awards and ribbons. Having only 35
exhibitors
makes for a comfortable show, and
customers aren't overwhelmed. You can be inside, or outside in your
own tent.
MAKE SURE you bring a dolly. Distance from parking lot to booths is
great.
Bring your own food. They provide coffee, water and donuts each
morning
- but there
is no food, and it's quite a trek to the nearest restaurant.
There
was a booth that had
fried potatoes, fried potatoes and fried potatoes - and hotdogs, but that
was
about it.
Beautiful facility, helpful volunteers and well attended. If you
meet the
requirements
give this a try.

Comments: We felt we had a bad location at this show. We were on a
curve
in the road and shoppers just made the cure and never looked
back...We
feelif we could have set our tent up closer to the road on an angle we
would
havehad much better sales. We move some of our items to the road on
Sunday
and did better is sales than we did on Saturday which most of us
know the
second day is never better. We were told and the contract said no
buy/sell,
we
saw many booths with items we know were buy sell because be have
them in
our
shop. On Sunday we put out our berry garland which we saw in at
least 5
other booths and sold it. If is good for one it is good for all. The
food
was great, nice crowd and the wooded setting was nice. We might
consider
doing it again if we could improve our location.

Medium: 2D Art, any medium
Comments: Show ended at 5:00 this year which was a big plus. Still
lots of
buy/sell at
this show. Many exhibitors were not demonstrating which makes you
wonder
if they
actually make their craft. Weather held up for much of the show.

Comments:
Always our favorite show. I don't see the buy and sell there that I
have seen
in the past.
There is still a few crafters that suppliment their inventory with
the buy and
sell.
Buyers come rain or shine and the promoters are the nicest and most hand
on
promoters I have ever dealt with.

2D person near me had customers but only sold so-so. Across from me
was
a booth
that was selling well, and I saw others who seemed to be busy, too.
I sold
OK, but
noticed people looking hard at the booth next to me that had a lot
of "bargain" items.
The second day, I hunted down a few under $15 items from my studio and
brought
them and they sold. I felt many were looking for a cheaper item,
possibly
due to the
fact the show took place only 3 weeks after the bad flood. I don't usually
sell much of anything under $25, but I think I would have been able
to sell
more inexpensive stuff
here even though this is a quality art show. Hmmm..., not sure why that
would be??

Comments: Sorry, but this was my worst show for the year. Beautiful
place,
nice ladies,
but no crowd, (and the weather was good.)There were several other
shows
going on in
the area the same weekend, and I just felt that I was wasting my time and
money in the wrong show.
My booth fee was $170 as I paid a late fee for registering way back
in April
about 7
whole days late, plus I donated a $25 item. Three days total, as set up
was
the day
before.
However, I will admit that I did have three sales that totaled over
$100-$150
each, but
that was about it. I did sell maybe $700 or so, but for three days,
the
expenses, and
time was just not worth it, especially during the Chrismas season.
Never
again.

Comments: Really nice show, thanks to everybody who told me to go.
Grreat building, people, entertainment, what a nice way to get into
the Christmas
spirit! My sales were
ok, but I wonder if they would have been better if I had been
downstairs. I watched, and
I was often the 99th out of 100 booths that several shoppers got to,
already
with several
bags in their hands. Well, that does mean they were buying somewhere,
though, so
from judging from that, I would say people were shopping. I saw lots
of
bags. I would
return.

Exhibitor Quality: Good
Promoter Quality: Excellent
Facilities: Excellent
Show Start: 11/30/03
Show End: 11/30/03

Comments: This show is growing in popularity. The attendance was
great.
The promoters
are doing a great job of advertising. This was the first year it was a
juried
show, therefore, some vendors were "grandfathered" in. No new
commercial
i
tems are allowed. Students helped with move in/out. An
item is required to be donated for their raffle. Good food in
cafeteria. Nice music. I'll do this show
again this year. Contact
